Sheela Ramanath founded Kalavaridhi (kuh-Law-Vau-ree-thee) Center for Performing Arts in the year 2001. Since then, she has trained numerous students in the art of Bharatanatyam ( buh-ruh-thuh-nawt-yum), a traditional Southern Indian Classical dance that spans over centuries in its rich grammar and pedagogy of training.
